On 29 January 2020, RENFE Fabricación y Mantenimiento awarded the contract for the construction works of the depot FUENCARRAL II for the maintenance of High Speed trains and the rail yard for self-propelled units in the Madrid Norte complex, to the Joint Venture formed by IMATHIA Construcción and Aldesa.
On 29 May 2020, the stake-out survey Report for the work was signed, and thus the works for the new high-speed maintenance depotand the rail yard for self-propelled units were begun in the Madrid Norterailway complex.
The contract is worth 62.5 million euros and it’sthe construction period will be 22 months.
