In June 2020, IMATHIA Construcción signed the contract with URC for the refurbishment of 28 km of metric gauge track between Kampala andNamanve and from Tororo to Malaba (border with Kenya).
IMATHIA Construcción will set up a carousel sleeper manufacturing plant for the on-site manufacture of 50,000 monoblockprestressed concrete sleepers.
The contract value is 19.84 million Euros and the works will be carried out in 25 months.
