The purpose of the project was to enable the connection of the regenerated water networks from La China and Viveros WWTPs, by means of the river passing through the existing structure of Dam No. 4. It also included the restoration of historic Dams No. 3 and No. 4.
The project aimed to renovate Dams 3 and 4 so as to recover them as pedestrian walkways connecting the two existing boulevards of Aniceto Marinas and Ribera del Manzanares. The renovation of the original deck and the repair and cleaning of decorative and functional elements makes it possible to keep a faithful image of the original. The renovation of the fish ladders on the left bank will improve the functionality of the hydro-biological lift device.
